I think it is safe to say that any sort of pasta is the most common cooked dish in the Jones’ house. My husband loves Italian food and I have grown to love it even more than I used to.
Recently, while shopping at Lowe’s of all places, I stumbled across a Cooking Light Magazine with the title “20 Minute Dinners.” It really inspired me to start trying some new dishes. This recipe is not from the book but instead of our usual plain pasta dish we decided to raise the bar for ourselves!
We have entitled this dish, Rosé Tomato Alfredo Pasta. If you are looking for a super tasty meal that takes less than 15 minutes to make (this includes prep time and cooking time), and love pasta, then I highly suggest you try this 🙂 Here are the ingredients we used as well as cooking prep:
2 9oz. bags of Whole Wheat Four Cheese Tortellini Pasta
1/2 Box of Whole Wheat Spaghetti*
1 Jar of Private Selection Rosé Cream Sauce
1 Jar of Sun Dried Tomato Alfredo Sauce
1 Can of Diced Fire Roasted Garlic Tomatoes
1 Chopped Red Tomato**
1 tbsp Basil
1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 Cup Parmesan Cheese
First, combine all ingredients except the tortellini/spaghetti and tomato. Heat the sauce mixture on low for as long as the pasta takes to cook. Cook your pasta as directed on the package. While pasta is cooking, chop up your red tomato and add to sauce mixture. Once sauce is hot enough an pasta is cooked, mix the two together. Serve with your own homemade or store bought garlic bread or 🙂
I hope you enjoy this meal as much as we did, and it eases the stress of putting a meal together quick for a hungry family!
*We felt that the tortellini’s weren’t enough pasta for the amount of sauce we had, so you can either use half of both jars of the sauces OR add in more tortellini’s/spaghetti
** This ingredient is optional; we really enjoyed the fresh flavor it brought to the dish 🙂
